Our Hillside Units offer an unparalleled view of the ancient Mayan Plaza as well as the jungle beyond. Each unit features a one-of-a-kind solid limestone sink carved from rock quarried in our own backyard. Solid mahogany beds, traditional thatch roof, soft bamboo sheets and floors made of stone make you feel like you’re living in harmony with the lush nature all around.
You’ll begin and end each day with exotic birdsong, misty mountains and the sound of far-off (or quite near) howler monkeys. Your view into the jungle will be of towering hardwoods that have spent hundreds of years waiting to greet you.

Our Property
This beautiful thatched-roof jungle hut is built on our 300 acre private nature preserve that borders an additional 7,000 protected acres. The interior exudes a rustic charm, with wooden furnishings hand-crafted by our local artisans. The thatched roof, skillfully woven from Bay Palm leaves gathered from the jungle, offers a peek into an ancient way of life.
Your cabaña offers an immersive and sustainable experience, where modern comforts harmonize with the awe-inspiring natural surroundings. As an eco lodge, sustainability and conservation are at the core of everything we do. Your stay in the Hillside Cabaña is designed to minimize impact on the environment, and includes a ceiling fan to keep cool as you sleep. We utilize solar power and local stream water harvesting systems. Our unique water heating system burns cohune nuts gathered from the jungle floor. Every detail in our operations has been carefully considered to ensure that your stay aligns with principles of responsible tourism.
