Guided Birding
Jade is a premier birding location that serious birders from all over the world come to visit. Our local guides have spotted 276 species of birds at Jade including many rare and migratory species.
Enjoy the dawn chorus while you spot several species of birds. Venture out on the swing bridges and get up at bird-level, walk the complex, or head out on the trails. There are birds everywhere!

Maya Plaza Tour
Mayans lived in the same valley where Jade is now. Many of the units are built around an extended-family housing complex called a Plaza or Plazuela. Our guides will share stories about the restoration of the site and what we learned about this ancient people.

You are welcome to explore the miles of trails at Jade on your own time and pace. The lower trails feature the meadow, tree swings, Bay Palm Loop, Secret Garden, a giant Ceiba tree and our three swimming holes. The upper trails are almost completely under canopy and feature dozens of towering hardwood trees and more elevation changes.
For your own safety, please stay on the trails, stay properly hydrated, and return before dark.

Tower Farms
We have 2,200 growing ports on our 50 aeroponic garden towers. Along with our garden boxes, we are able to grow a large amount of produce on the farm.
