International guests traveling by plane will fly into Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City.

From, the airport or other locations in the country, we offer transfers. The price of a one-way transfer from the airport is $140 USD for up to four guests.

Rental cars are also available at the airport, and you can navigate to the resort using Google Maps. Do not use Apple Maps. We recommend renting a vehicle with high clearance, but four wheel drive is not necessary.

You will travel on the Western Highway to Teakettle Village, turn South off the road near Benge’s the big green store in Teakettle, and follow the signs to the resort roughly 5.5 miles from the highway. 

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner in the dining room along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale at our honor bar.

Breakfast and lunch are buffets and dinner is our signature four-course meal. 

Full board is $65/day/person, half board is $50/day/person, or you can purchase single meals at $19 breakfast, $19 lunch and $42 dinner. Children 10 and under are 1/2 price. 

At Jade Jungle Resort we offer nature as our primary amenity. 

We also have a Maya Plaza on-site where people lived 1,500 years ago.

We have a bar lounge and restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

There are 300 acres of property to explore with miles of hiking trails, a stream and river where you can take a dip, a 5-acre meadow with rope swings, swing bridges to walk through the treetops, our secret garden, aeroponic tower farm and more! 

Birding is also a popular activity with our expert guides and nearly 300 species of birds that have been identified on the property.

You can relax in our bar lounge in a chair or hammock, and we also offer massage services. Please contact the office to schedule a massage during your stay.

We offer Wi-Fi connection in the bar/lounge area, but not in the rooms.

We want each of our guests to have a chance to relax and unwind. Please make the appropriate preparations to be disconnected while you are here.

Yes! We have weekly tours on-site that are both complimentary and paid. We also offer many off-site tours including transportation to and from activities and accompaniment from one of our expert local guides.

The property is 300 acres of primal jungle comprised mostly of Primary Forest, which has reached a full mature ecosystem over the last 500+ years. We also have a restored Maya Plaza and other un-excavated Maya ruins, a stream fed be an artesian spring, a river, a five acre meadow, and miles of hiking trails.

Towering hardwoods, and thousands of plant and animal species inhabit the property. There is an abundance of life here.

The property borders the Tapir Mountain Reserve, which includes 7,000 acres of protected lands. This increases the abundance of life on our property.

Yes! Jade Jungle Resort is a beautiful venue for events and special occasions. We are happy to host your private group and offer extended booking windows for those looking to book the entire resort.

Guests will see many of the hundreds of bird species that live here, or frequent the property.

Howler Monkeys roam the property and the reserve. You are likely to hear them and you may see them on the trails or around the lodge. 

Bats roost near the kitchen and keep the bugs down around the lodge. You will see them eating from the bird feeders at night.

Butterflies and moths are abundant here with several species that can be seen around the property.

Other insects including leaf cutter ants, beetles, walking sticks and many more are always hiding in plain site.

Lizards are common with Geckos, Basilisks (Jesus Lizards), Iguanas, and Rainbow Ameivas being the most common.

Toads, frogs, turtles and snakes are also around.

Spiders like Tarantulas, Orb Weavers, and other varieties are easy to spot if you go on a night walk, or know where to look.

Other animals that are harder to spot include Agouti, Paca (Gibnut), Coatimundi (Coati), Kinkajou (Night Walker), Peccary, Deer, Tapir, Jaguar, Puma, Jaguarundi, Ocelot, Margay, and many more!

No, travelers from most countries including the United States, Canada, UK, and EU will be given an entry stamp on arrival to Belize, which acts as a visa for 30 days.

For stays longer than 30 days, you must visit the immigration office at the end of your 30-day stay to renew your visa and pay a fee. 

Yes, we have a parking lot where guests can leave their vehicles. There is a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the lodge, so you are welcome to drive down to the lodge to check in and drop of your bags.

There are many wild animals here, and we are in their home, but mutual respect and awareness means we all get along.

In the 30+ years guests have been visiting the property, no animal has seriously injured anyone. The large cats stay away from humans, and nothing else will hurt you if you don’t harass or step on it.

For safety, we ask that you take a radio with you when on the trails, stay on the trails, stay aware, and watch where you step. 

The temperatures in the fall and winter months are typically highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. 

Temperatures in the summer months are typically highs in the high 80s and 90s, and lows in the high 70s.

The coldest month is typically January, and the hottest month is typically May.

Although rainy season is considered to be June-November with dry season being December-May, shifting weather patterns have caused a more shorter rainy season in recent years with heavy rains in late fall and a longer dry season lasting from winter through early fall.

Belize is humid year-round, with higher humidity during rainy periods.

There are bugs and mosquitoes in the area, but most guests don’t find them to be a significant issue. Bugs are more prevalent after hard rains, and there are very few during the driest times of the year.

Around the lodge, the bugs are often eaten by our resident bats and chased off by our open flame lamps or incense.

We have indoor netted dining along with outdoor seating.

If you are going on the jungle trails, we recommend wearing bug spray.

We use the same outlets as the United States, which is Type B.

Yes! Belize benefits from good rule of law, a culture of kindness, formality and order, and close ties to the United States, United Kingdom, Taiwan, and other stable and well-developed nations.

Crime is low outside of Southern Belize City, and especially so in rural areas like Teakettle Village and the surrounding area near Jade Jungle Resort.

We are just over 30 minutes from Belmopan, the nation’s capital. In the city there are clinics and emergency medical services at the public and private hospitals that can handle most medical issues.

For more specialized care, there are hospitals in Belize City that is roughly 90 minutes drive from the resort with more highly trained physicians.

We are only 90 minutes drive from the Goldson International Airport in Belize City.

No, vaccinations are not required to enter Belize or come to Jade Jungle Resort. 

If you have special medical considerations, or concerns, we recommend contacting your healthcare provider.
